AERA Cuts Hyderabad Airport User Charges by Over 30%
India's airport regulator has reduced user development fees at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport by more than 30% for domestic passengers, with a new tariff regime taking effect from September 2026.
The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) has reduced the user development fee (UDF) for domestic passengers departing from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from ₹750 to ₹515, a cut of more than 30%. The revised tariff order takes effect on September 1, 2026, and remains valid until March 31, 2031.
For departing international passengers, AERA has fixed the UDF at ₹1,030, down from the existing ₹1,500. The airport operator had proposed ₹580 for domestic passengers and ₹1,150 for international passengers.
The regulator has also reduced landing charges, setting them at ₹435 per metric tonne for domestic flights and ₹630 per metric tonne for international flights.
