Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the inaugural session of the ninth National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference-2026 in New Delhi, called for greater use of artificial intelligence to analyze intelligence inputs and strengthen India's response to emerging national security threats. He directed security agencies to take strict measures against infiltration and to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tackling different national security challenges based on AI-driven analysis of information available on the Multi Agency Centre (MAC) platform. Shah stressed the need for an integrated approach to counter-terrorism and radicalisation, including comprehensive investigation of cases under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
