Bathinda police registered a case against unknown persons after graffiti eulogizing Dilawar Singh, the assassin of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, was found on walls of a government school, a stadium and other places. Bathinda police have registered a case against unknown persons after pro-Dilawar Singh graffiti was found on walls of a government school in Naruna village, a sports stadium and other locations in the Bathinda district. One graffiti read '31 August Shaheed Dilawar Babbar Zindabad'. The police removed the graffiti from all spots. The banned outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) is suspected to be behind the graffiti at certain places, according to officials. Dilawar Singh was described as the assassin of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh; he acted as a suicide bomber who blew up a bulletproof car at the Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh. The investigation is ongoing.
