The Chhattisgarh government's high-level committee, tasked with drafting and implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state, is set to convene a comprehensive state-level consultation meeting in Raipur on August 27. Around 200 key representatives and stakeholders from various fields are expected to participate. Invitations have been extended to office-bearers of government commissions, public corporations and boards, community leaders, heads of social organisations, public representatives, legal luminaries, domain experts and distinguished citizens. The meeting is intended to gather inputs and ground-level perspectives to help shape the UCC draft framework.
