People are also advised to cover their mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing, wash hands regularly, and avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. The association also cautioned against self-medication. According to an official statement issued Tuesday, Delhi has reported 2,308 H1N1 cases so far in 2026, while cumulative Influenza A and B cases have crossed 3,000. Health Minister Pankaj Singh said H1N1 is currently the predominant influenza subtype in the city, whereas H3N2 was the dominant strain in Delhi last year.
