Delhi High Court grants interim relief to ITC over '100%' label dispute
The Delhi High Court has asked FSSAI not to cancel ITC's licence over '100%' claims on Aashirvaad atta pending the next hearing in September.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, granted interim protection to ITC Ltd. in a case involving the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The court asked FSSAI not to cancel ITC's licence for now over the company's failure to remove all "100%" claims from its product 'Aashirvaad M.P. Chakki Atta'.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma said no decision on licence cancellation would be taken until the next hearing, scheduled for September 9, because the issue of jurisdiction is yet to be decided and the courts will be closed.
ITC had challenged FSSAI advisories and notices directing it to discontinue the "100%" claim on the product or face suspension of its FSSAI licence.
