The trial was conducted at 22,000 feet, with the parachute deployed at 20,000 feet and jumpers landing safely at 13,700 feet. Temperatures during the test were as low as minus 15°C.
The test jumpers used the MCPS along with other sub-systems, including an indigenously developed para computer, oxygen system, and jumpsuits. Nyoma has recently seen the Indian Air Force (IAF) commission an airbase, which is among the world's highest for fighter aircraft operations. The area has previously been used for military exercises, including the para-dropping of troops, vehicles, and equipment.
