Foxconn, officially known as Hon Hai Technology Group, is evaluating locations in India for a technology park and high-end electronics manufacturing facility. According to state government sources, the company is seeking a land parcel of more than 200 acres and has surveyed a plot near Sanand in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat. A senior state government official said Foxconn intends to set up a mobile phone and other high-end electronics manufacturing plant at the chosen site. The official added that Gujarat is not the only state being considered, and the company is expected to finalize the location in the coming weeks.
