The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued notices to JW Marriott and Andaz hotels at Delhi's Aerocity after inspections uncovered serious food safety violations. The notice to Andaz, operated by Juniper Hotels Pvt Ltd, cited active cockroaches near freezers, expired food—including 87kg of expired sweets—poor sanitation and improper storage. A separate notice was issued to JW Marriott, a unit of Aria Hotels and Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, over similar non-compliance with FSSAI requirements. The regulator said food samples were collected from both establishments and further action would depend on the findings.
