GATE 2027 registration to begin August 27, exam in February 2027
IIT Madras will open GATE 2027 registration on August 27. The exam, used for MTech/PhD admissions and PSU recruitment, will be held in February 2027.
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will begin accepting applications for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 from August 27. The registration window will remain open until September 27 through the official GOAPS website at gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
GATE scores are used for admission to Master of Technology (MTech) and PhD programmes, as well as for recruitment to Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. City intimation slips will be issued on January 4, 2027, and results are set to be announced on March 19, 2027.
