Government reopens empanelment for AI, ML technology partners
India's electronics and IT ministry is reopening empanelment for companies to supply AI and machine learning resources for government projects under the Digital India programme.
The Indian government is expanding its pool of technology partners for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) projects. The ministry of electronics and IT (MeitY) has issued a fresh tender through the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to add more companies to an existing panel created for AI/ML manpower augmentation and AI-driven project delivery under the Digital India programme.
The move follows a first round of empanelment that selected six companies: Tata Consultancy Services, NEC India, Kyndryl, CoRover, Innefu Labs and Cactus Technology Solutions. These companies were chosen to work on government AI projects.
The latest round seeks to bring additional agencies onto the panel, widening the range of vendors eligible to deploy AI/ML resources across government programmes.
