Karnataka's draft electoral rolls list 4.46 crore voters after removal of over 1.07 crore names during a special revision. The state election office will run a campaign to help affected voters file inclusion forms.
As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Karnataka published its draft electoral rolls on Monday. The revised electorate stands at 4.46 crore voters, following the deletion of over 1.07 crore names. According to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) V. Anbu Kumar, most removed names were marked 'absent, shifted, duplicate, dead, and others' (ASDDO). The rolls now include over 2.22 crore males, 2.24 crore females, and 2,871 others.
Voters can check their names on the CEO's official website. The CEO stated that a special campaign will be conducted in areas with high ASDDO numbers, where voters will be assisted in filling Form 6 for inclusion in the rolls. The announcement was made at the end of the enumeration phase.
