The Madhya Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, approved a Rs 734 crore allocation for science and technology schemes covering April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2031. Chief Minister Yadav said the state should take a leading role in implementing the Prime Minister's AI skilling and youth talent development initiatives announced on Independence Day. Briefing reporters, minister Rakesh Singh said the science and technology budget had increased from around Rs 6 crore during the previous Congress government to Rs 734 crore under the BJP government. The cabinet also launched the NAMAN Narmada mission and continued key welfare schemes.
