Mumbai police probing the leak of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) drug inspector screening exam held in March are examining how the paper was accessed, how the leaked material was circulated, and whether candidates were asked to pay for it. According to a police officer, Lokesh alias Gaurav Rajendra Patil, a Nandurbar resident and one of six arrested persons, was in a relationship with a woman identified as Rutuja Patil, who was preparing for the exam. Investigators suspect Gaurav obtained questions from the paper ahead of the March 22 exam and shared them with her to help her clear it. Rutuja cleared the exam, the officer said. The relationship ended soon after and turned sour between the two, the officer added. The investigation is ongoing.
