NEET aspirant found dead in Kota, eighth coaching student death this year
A 20-year-old NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh allegedly died by suicide in her Kota apartment, police said, marking the eighth coaching student death in the city this year.
A 20-year-old NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh was found dead in her rented apartment in Kota, police said on Wednesday. The woman, who was preparing for the medical entrance examination for the second time, was discovered after her younger sister, also a coaching student in Kota, returned from classes on Tuesday night.
Police said no suicide note was recovered and the exact reason for the death was yet to be ascertained. However, the woman was reportedly distressed after scoring around 450 marks in her previous NEET-UG attempt. Her sister is preparing for the JEE examination.
The death is the eighth coaching student death in Kota this year, raising renewed concerns over student stress and mental health pressures in the city's coaching hub.
