The Supreme Court has quashed all FIRs registered against students who took part in nationwide protests over the NEET UG paper leak, and directed the Centre to pay compensation to families of students who died. The Cockroach Janata Party, which led the protests, welcomed the ruling as 'true justice.'

The Supreme Court on Tuesday quashed all First Information Reports (FIRs) registered against students who participated in protests linked to the NEET UG paper leak between July 20 and 25 across the country. A bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant also directed the central government to provide compensation, within three months, to the families of students who died during the protests.
Cockroach Janata Party leader Abhijeet Dipke welcomed the decision, calling it "true justice" and "absolute justice" for students and families who raised their voices. He thanked the court, saying the order was a victory for those who protested at Jantar Mantar and for people across the country who supported the movement through social media and WhatsApp. Dipke said justice had been served for families of students who died in connection with the NEET paper leak.
The ruling clears students and individuals whose FIRs were registered in connection with the CJP-led protests, which were held to demand action over the alleged paper leak. The court's order also includes a compensation directive for families of students who died.
