A 16-year-old Class 11 student from Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving sleeper bus on the night of August 4, according to police. The girl had left home after a disagreement with her family and was traveling to meet her cousin in Noida. She mistakenly got off at Pari Chowk amid heavy rain and darkness. An empty sleeper bus stopped after she signaled for help. The driver, Kuldeep, and conductor, Sandeep, told her the bus was headed to Noida Sector 63 and allowed her to board. Police said the conductor soon began making obscene advances toward her. Additional details of the alleged assault were not provided in the report.
