Narendra Dhankhar, a retired superintendent of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), died in a road accident near the university's newly constructed gate No. 4 in Rohtak. The incident has prompted the MDU Non-Teaching Employees' Union to seek safety measures. A union delegation met the university registrar and submitted a memorandum requesting the installation of a speed breaker and warning boards in front of gate No. 4 to prevent similar accidents. Union president Suresh Kaushik said there is currently no speed breaker, warning board or roundabout on the main road in front of the gate, and drivers often pass at high speed, posing a risk to employees, students and the public. The registrar assured the delegation that action would be taken.
