Police in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district arrested a 30-year-old villager after he posted a video showing a damaged and waterlogged part of a government school. The video, recorded on August 16 at the consolidated school in Naoli Lalpur village under Sikandrarao, was shared widely on social media. The education department filed a complaint alleging the man, identified as Kuldeep Yadav, selectively filmed an unused section and circulated 'misleading facts' about the institution. Department officials said the portion shown was damaged during construction of the Mathura-Bareilly national highway and was no longer used for classes. Block education officer Vijay Chauhan reported the highway work had caused the damage. Police acted on the complaint and sent Yadav to jail on Monday.
