Delison, from Krishnarajapuram near Manamadurai in Sivaganga district, was arrested on March 5, 2026, in connection with a case in which two people were hacked during a dispute in Manamadurai. He was admitted to the Madurai Government Rajaji Hospital with injuries and died there. Police had claimed he was injured after falling from a bridge while trying to escape arrest and died despite treatment. His relatives alleged he died due to police assault and staged continuous protests.
