Four youths arrested in Ranipet with country-made bombs
Banavaram police arrested four youths near Sholinghur for possessing country-made bombs and sharp weapons during a vehicle check.
Four youths were arrested by Banavaram police near Sholinghur town on Wednesday for possessing three country-made bombs and sharp weapons during a vehicle check. The police identified the arrested as K. Sanjay Kumar, 22, B. Ranjith, 22, T. Mani, 21, and N. Kumaran, 23. Acting on orders of Superintendent of Police P. Sibin, a special police team was conducting a surprise vehicle check on the Banavaram–Sholinghur Main Road when they intercepted a car travelling to Tirupattur. The team searched the vehicle and found country-made bombs and sharp weapons. A case was registered, and the four were lodged at the Central Prison in Vellore. A probe is under way.
