KLA India acquires 12-acre Chennai land for ₹1,020 crore to set up global capability centre
KLA Tencor Software India Private Limited has acquired a 12-acre-plus land parcel on Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road in Chennai for over ₹1,020 crore, the largest land transaction recorded in the zone. A captive Global Capability Centre (GCC) is expected on the site.
KLA Tencor Software India Private Limited, an affiliate of American semiconductor equipment company KLA Corporation, has bought a land parcel of more than 12 acres along Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road in Chennai for over ₹1,020 crore. Sources said this is the single-largest land transaction recorded in that zone. The seller is a Hyderabad-based individual. A captive Global Capability Centre (GCC) is expected to be developed on the site, and real estate consultancy CBRE advised on the transaction. According to sources familiar with the deal, KLA Corporation, through KLA India, had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government, and this site could be used for that project.
