BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran criticised the TVK-led state government over the incident, saying such incidents would not have happened if regular inspections were conducted. He called for the formation of committees to inspect the preparation of food meant for school children.
Nagenthran urged the government to initiate strict action against those responsible and to take steps to ensure such incidents do not recur.
