Retired Madras High Court judge Justice RN Manjula and retired IAS officer A Suganthi have been appointed as members of the Tamil Nadu State Human Rights Commission (SHRC). A government order issued by the public (human rights) department dated August 25 and published in the state gazette said the appointments were made to fill existing vacancies in the commission. The appointments will be for three years or until the appointees attain the age of 70, whichever is earlier, from the date they assume charge.
