Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay announced new allowances and official vehicles for MLAs, raised the state health insurance coverage to Rs 25 lakh, expanded transgender medical services, and increased Aavin's milk procurement price to Rs 41 per litre.

In a series of announcements in the Assembly, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay introduced benefits for MLAs, including government vehicles and a monthly allowance of Rs 1 lakh, as part of measures described as promoting transparent and efficient governance.
Vijay also said the annual coverage under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) would be raised from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Additionally, seven government medical college hospitals would begin offering extra medical and surgical care to transgender persons.
On the dairy front, the procurement price paid by Aavin for milk would increase from Rs 38 to Rs 41 per litre. The move entails an additional annual expenditure of Rs 360 crore and is expected to benefit 3.16 lakh milk producers.
