Tamil Nadu Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology and Digital Services R. Kumar announced in the Assembly on Tuesday that a mobile application called 'Vettri Tamil Nadu Super App' will be introduced to reduce the need for citizens to visit government offices in person. The app will enable direct access to 500 government services, including birth certificates, family (ration) cards, and driver's license renewals, through mobile phones. The initiative is estimated to cost ₹5 crore. The minister also said a separate portal, 'Vetri Tamil Nadu Web Portal', will be created for the public to share suggestions and opinions on government schemes and provide feedback on public services.
