Tamil Nadu to launch Vettri Super App for 500 government services
Tamil Nadu announced plans to launch the 'Vettri Tamil Nadu Super App' and a web portal to provide citizens mobile access to 500 government services, including birth certificates, ration cards, and driver's license renewals.
Tamil Nadu will introduce the 'Vettri Tamil Nadu Super App' to enable citizens to access 500 government services directly through their mobile phones, according to IT and Digital Services Minister R. Kumar. Speaking in the Assembly on Tuesday, he said services such as birth certificates, family cards (ration cards), and driver's license renewals would be available through the app at an estimated cost of ₹5 crore. The app aims to reduce the need for residents to visit government offices in person.
The Minister also announced a 'Vetri Tamil Nadu Web Portal' to allow the public to share suggestions and opinions, express views on government schemes, and provide feedback on public services.
