About 15 temporary load workers from the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC) in Tirupattur district staged a protest at the Vaniyambadi taluk operation godown, demanding permanent employee status, wage revision, and recognition of their union. They said only 15 of 30 load workers have permanent status and alleged attendance tampering by in-charges.

Around 15 temporary load workers from the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC) in Tirupattur district protested in front of the taluk operation godown in Vaniyambadi on Friday, demanding permanent employee status. The protest was part of a state-wide strike by TNCSC loadmen seeking wage revision, permanent status, and recognition of their workers' union.
According to the workers, only 15 of the 30 loadmen at the godown have been granted permanent status; the remaining 15 remain temporary. They claimed to have worked as loadmen for 8 to 15 years without being made permanent. The workers also alleged that in-charges at the godown tampered with attendance records of temporary staff, resulting in lower wages.
