TN minister republishes list of 717 closed Tasmac outlets after MLAs' request

Prohibition and Excise Minister K Vignesh on Thursday republished the list of all 717 Tasmac outlets that have already been closed, after MLAs asked for the details during the Assembly session. The revised list was shown to media representatives at the Secretariat. Vignesh said the shop numbers and addresses had already been posted on social media, but many people were not aware of them, so the list was published again. He also said some MLAs demanded that Tasmac outlets other than the 717 be closed instead of shifted to new locations. The minister added that a recent analysis found that whenever a shop was closed, the crowd shifted elsewhere.
