Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace to Indian aircraft until September 24, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority on Wednesday, August 19. The new notice states that Pakistani airspace will not be available for Indian-registered aircraft or aircraft operated or leased by Indian airlines or operators, including military flights. The extension takes effect at 10:15 a.m. on August 23 and remains in force until 4:59 a.m. on September 24, following the expiry of the previous restriction on August 23. The move continues restrictions imposed after the Pahalgam attack in April 2025, after which Pakistan and India placed matching airspace restrictions on each other's airlines.
