Security advisory issued ahead of RSS chief's New York event
The Hindu American Foundation has issued a security advisory for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's scheduled appearance at an event in New York, where several groups have voiced opposition.
Several US-based organizations, including Hindus for Human Rights, the Indian American Muslim Council and the Interfaith Center of New York, have opposed the scheduled appearance of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at the Universal Oneness Celebration in New York on August 29. The Hindu American Foundation issued a security advisory urging Hindu-Americans to remain vigilant, stay situationally aware, avoid confrontations, and keep interactions civil. The advisory said activists targeting Hindu Americans have attempted to disrupt and cancel the event, and it called on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to protect all attendees. The event is planned for Madison Square Garden.
