U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he did not expect the Iran war to continue for much longer after what he described as a "very heavy attack" on Tuesday night. Speaking to Reuters, Trump said, "We hit them hard last night, very hard."

The U.S. reportedly targeted newly established military equipment along the Strait of Hormuz, including radar and missile-related systems, amid fresh escalation. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets.

According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities, including air defence sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine-laying capabilities, and communications sites. No further details were provided on the extent of damage or casualties.
